(1/7/08) A benefit to raise money for Amherst’s 250th anniversary celebration will be held Thursday, January 10th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at the Amherst Brewing Company’s upstairs section, 24-36 North Pleasant Street. Tickets are $15, and are available at Hastings and at the Chamber of Commerce, as well as from members of the 250th Anniversary Celebration Committee.

Visitors to the site can learn about plans for 2009’s year-long celebration, find out about the work of the different celebration subcommittees, and offer suggestions and ideas.
